Anyone have any thoughts as to the comparison between the b7 vs b8 a4. I was mildly impressed with the B8 but all in all i was more wow'ed with my car (2006) when it was new. If you can get a 2011 B8, it's objectively a better car than the B7. If you're stuck with that budget and can only find 2009/2010 cars, the B7 is probably a slightly safer bet from a reliability perspective. 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia Ti Sport Carbon - 1984 Porsche Carrera 3.2 Targa.

Even the wheels, as the 2009 A4 S-line came with the 19" triple 5 spoke wheels that S4 owners proclaim as 'S4 wheels' (even though they were on the RS6 4 years ago!) B7 2.0TFSI is the same as the 2.0TFSI in A6 C6 (EU) B ( has newly developed engine but it's also 2.0TFSI, non of them are TSI. But both TSI and TFSI are direct injection.
There's no reason to presume the sportback is any different from the sedan, wagon, coupe, and cabriolet. Where the B8.0 and B8.5 rear bumper covers are different, and the spoilers are not interchangeable. So the diffuser for Audi A5 B8.5 S-Line will not fit for an A5 B8 S-Line? Well, in my lexicon, all B8.5 are B8, as are all B8.0.
For anyone looking to buy a used or CPO B8 (2009 through 2012) or a B8.5 (2013-2016), they're great cars and generally very reliable. This thread will hopefully answer some common questions about the cars, and provide some specific things to consider and watch out for when purchasing.
